TUMBLEWEEDS upcoming campout

First of all, many thanks to everyone who attended the first campout of the season! It was a lot of fun seeing everyone and catching up. The weather was nice for the most part -- a bit windy on Saturday, but still quite nice. We had 10 rigs/20 people attend the campout. WOW! We certainly are growing. Several folks stopped by and asked for more info about the group. So who knows -- more members may be coming soon. 😁

Next campout is April 30th to May 2nd at Bully Creek Reservoir, just outside of Vale, OR. Wagonmasters: Two "J's" with an R & B (Jim & Beccie -- Site #4, Jim & Rita-- Site #10).

PLEASE RSVP so we can get a head count for the meals.

DIRECTIONS:
Once reaching Vale, continue past the "Y" intersection of Hwy 20 and Graham Blvd. It's about 12 minutes/9.5 miles to Bully Creek past Vale. You'll see the sign for Bully Creek to turn right onto Bully Creek Road and continue on down about 5 miles the road.

CHECK IN:
  • The house to check in is just before the campground. You will need to check in and pay with CASH or CHECK. NO CREDIT CARDS. Fee is $15.00 per night.
  • Check in time is 1:00 PM; check out time is 2:00 PM, I believe.
  • Campsites are electrical only.
  • There are water spigots around the campground but come prepared.
  • Also there is a dump station on the way out.
  • ATVs/UTVs are NOT allowed in the campground. Before pulling into the campground, there is the parking lot for the boat ramp. ATVs/UTVs can be parked there overnight. There is a short strip of grass between the boat ramp parking lot and the campground.

FRIDAY NIGHT:
Appetizers will be Friday night about 6 PM at Site #4, Jim & Beccie's place. There is a covered shelter and a large fire pit for our gatherings.

SATURDAY NIGHT:
Slight change of plans. Instead of the Starlight Cafe, Beccie & Jim would like to have a potluck dinner with an Italian theme. They'll be providing pasta with meatballs and mushrooms sauce. Jim & I will add a main dish to go with that. We'll need sides like salads, antipasta, garlic bread, Italian side dishes, and desserts. Soon as we have the number of confirmed folks attending, I'll let you know how many will be eating.

FYI: I have invited a teacher friend from school -- Jesus Gomez. He and his lovely wife Rachel will be joining us for this campout.

Let me know if you have any questions. Again, please RSVP as soon as you can!

Thanks,

Rita 😊
